Heather Rose grew up in the mountains of California, where she was often found playing out the adventures of her imagination with her stuffed animals and plastic toys. She spent her days reading fantasy books and watching cartoons featuring strong female leads, such as Sailor Moon, and these came to heavily influence her artwork. These influences can be seen in the flowing lines and movement of her work, focusing on empowered women, curves, color, and storytelling. Other inspirations include classic art from ancient Greece, the Baroque era, and Art Noveau, as well as animation artists both old and new. Her fellow artist friends continue to inspire her to push her skills and broaden her horizons every day.

What Heather wishes to accomplish with her work is simple: to make people smile, feel good and to create stories of their own.

Currently Heather lives with her boyfriend, Nathan "CrookedWolf" Johnson, a fellow artist whose work can be found here, and their two hairy babies, Asher the Cat and Sadie the Dog.
